Features:

This Diesel Generator set for conversion to meet ATEX 994/99/EC is suitable for operation in Zone2/ temperature class T3, gas group IIA such as those encountered in chemical plants offshore oil and gas installations.

The principle of operation is to limit all surfaces and exhaust gas temperature to below 200C and offer automatic shutdown of the engine should high coolant water temperature, high exhaust temperature, low oil pressure or engine-over-speed occur.

Alternator and Electrical Control Panel have following feature and protection system:

The EEx n, IP54 type alternator conform to BSS4999-5000 part 16 & IEC 60079-15 & NEMA code MGI Class 1 Div2 Group D, ATEX 3G Zone 2 area.

• Rated at 80kVA @ 0.8PF diesel driven generator at 400V, 50Hz, 3 phase for ZONE 2 – Temperature Class T3 and Gas Group IIA;
• Brushless rotating field (4 pole Alterator)
• Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR)

• MCCB On Indicator Lamp;
• Earth Leakage Indicator Lamp
• Earth Reset Push Button
• Emergency Stop

• Caterpillar engine model C4.4 of ds80KVA is rated at 1500RPM directly fitted to a flexible drive coupling to drive the EEx n alternator

• Engine safety shutdown control to provide failsafe feature in event of engine abnormal function due to high engine coolant temperature, exhaust gas temperature and loss of engine oil pressure or over-speeding, the system will automatically shutdown the engine.
• The water-cooled exhaust manifold and exhaust cooling system are designed to operate below exhaust surface and gas temperature below 200C;
